“Brother” is more than just a name we call each other. Brotherhood in Lambda Chi Alpha is a lifelong bond that endures beyond college, and has connected over 250,000 brothers since 1909.

The values that make a good brother are those that make a good man, and are the same values that will eventually make a good husband and father. Lambda Chi Alpha is committed to fostering personal growth and development through its traditions, principles and ideals.

The Creed of Lambda Chi Alpha

The Creed is one of the first things a new member of Lambda Chi Alpha learns. It is recited as part of business meetings, Kappa sessions, and other fraternity functions.

We believe in Lambda Chi Alpha and its traditions, principles, and ideals. The crescent is our symbol—pure, high, ever growing—and the cross is our guide, denoting service, sacrifice, and even suffering and humiliation before the world, bravely endured if need be, in following that ideal.
